| After the introduction of the 0.25um technology node, several independent analog-IP providers emerged. The FAB-less SoC companies enjoyed a time-to-market advantage by buying
off-the-shelf analog-IP cores. With the advent of 130nm and more recently the 90nm and
65nm technology nodes, SoCs have grown to a size where it accommodates multiple-systems
and several complex peripherals. The system-on-chip companies now have a need to focus
heavily on their core-competencies of system-design and SoC design, but at the same time
need a number of analog IP cores that are no less optimal or no less differentiated than
the digital architectures that the SoCs are being designed with.
Die-area is expensive in the ultra-deep-sub-micron nodes and the demand for reduced power-consumption is as never before. Mobile communication need longer battery-life and the high-performance analog cores need to be significantly low in power consumption. In many such situations, analog content in an SoC becomes one of the differentiators for the SoC. The
number of analog cores in a single SoC can be many and an SoC designed in the latest technologies need cutting edge differentiated analog-IP cores. SoC companies urgently
need reliable analog-IP providers who can help sustain, contribute to, and enhance
the level of differentiation that the SoC solutions of today are expected to provide. Analog is no longer an ‘yet-another’ piece, but pretty much a critical piece of typical SoCs. It is
in this context that Cosmic Circuits fits in.
We endeavor to create and provide Analog-IP solutions that are unique in functionality, burn the least amount of power, and take up minimal silicon die-area. ‘Best-in-Class’ is our Mantra. By using our analog-IP cores, our customers can expect their solution not to be disadvantaged because of analog, and even better, let the analog stand-out as a differentiating factor for the entire solution.
We value our unique blend of deep and broad analog skills and understanding of systems. Our customers can engage with our experts on the type of customization that needs
to be done, or the kind of trade-offs to make, and expect the interaction to be a rewarding experience.
You can be assured about our support, both during the chip integration phase and during
your product-ramp phase. We offer on-site support for integration of our cores onto our customers’ SoC’s as part of our warranty-support, which itself is typically for an extended period. We consider successful when our customers succeed.
